Produced in France in Napoleon III style between 1870 and 1880 in respect of ancient traditions and raw material (kaolin) by master craftsmen; “Porcelain de Paris” is a term that refers collectively to the various porcelain decorating workshops and studios within and around Paris, France. It is not the name of any single company or producer and is usually applied to craft objects of excellent workmanship produced between the mid and late nineteenth century. The makers are in some cases obscure and generally unknown or have created only a few and rare pieces.
