This is an original oil painting called "mementos." Here I was thinking of my grandmother's dresser that was covered with old photographs and sentimental items, a study of a childhood memory.
The still life painting shows photographs that are arranged in various frames- we can see suggestions of what they depict, but the image is just out of focus, perhaps a dream you struggle to remember or a memory that is just out of reach.

About my work:
I'm a full time artist with a BFA from Laguna College of Art & Design, where I majored in drawing and painting, working primarily from life and the nude figure. My work is inspired by nature, my everyday surroundings, and a collection of old photographs. I show in galleries and exhibitions in addition to selling directly from my studio.
