* An IDL springless postal scale, dating to the 1940s or 1950s. This gray steel scale has an Art Deco like profile, with notched corners at the top. A cream and red display provides measurements and weights, with letters being 3 cents an ounce to almost anywhere in the Americas. There's a red and gold sticker on the back of the scale for Adams Stationers, 10th and Olive Sts., St. Louis.

* A Pelouze Countess scale from 1963. The scale is beige metal with a marbled plastic base and red and brown display in front (a first class letter was up to 5 cents at that time).

Both scales are in very good condition, with some wear and light scratches but no major damage.

Size: The IDL is about 7 inches wide x 3.4 inches deep x 5.75 inches tall. The Pelouze is 2.75 inches wide x 5.5 inches deep x 6 inches tall. less
