An early 20th-century medium size Burmese (now Myanmar) Lacquered Decorative Bowl in exceptional condition. The bowl is exquisitely hand-decorated with traditional tribal motifs with inscriptions. The is a part of a large collection of Burmaware in legendary designer Lucia Lawrence's private collection.
This was acquired by Lawrence from a top antique dealer for her own collection. Always paper wrapped and stored in a climate-controlled environment. This bowl is in excellent condition with the lacquer pretty much completely intact and mirror-like. This is clearly a showpiece with no sign of use, very rare in the Burmese lacquerware world.
