This trunk was being shipped home (to small time on the west side of Michigan) during the late '40s. We like the piece of history that can be seen on this trunk. We think it would be a fun way to house your militaria collection or add a piece of glass to make it into a coffee table. It shows wear (i.e. dings, scrapes, worn metal, oxidation, paint worn/loss) as you would expect for an item used as a piece of luggage.
