With a stunningly beautiful weathered verdigris patina. (This bronze had been in a garden setting for the last many decades).

Boschetti ran an important shop on the via Condotti in Rome from about 1820 to 1860. His workshop was responsible for extraordinarily fine reductions of many of the iconic Antiquities that so dazzled travelers on their Grand Tours through Italy in the 19th century. He won a medal at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851. The Boschetti shop displayed many of the high quality wares that we now associate with the Grand Tour. Signed works come to market only relatively infrequently.
