Handmade glass, metal mount with natural patina. Austria, the 1970s.
this model was often found in hotels, theaters, and interiors of that era. Its light is soft, slightly diffused, and plays beautifully on the glass.
j. Kalmar was founded in austria at the end of the 19th century (around 1881) by julius august kalmar. At first, the company was engaged in metal forging and decorative elements, but soon switched to the production of chandeliers and lamps, combining traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
in the second half of the 20th century, especially from the 1950s to the 1970s, kalmar became known for its collaboration with leading architects and designers. It was during this period that the company began to produce unique chandeliers and sconces, often made of murano glass, brass and other noble materials.

very good vintage condition.
it consists of 54 glass elements.
wiring replaced by a professional electrician.
