All are great descriptions of this 1950's table lamp which incorporates a black ceramic panther chained to a white acrylic base. The lamp came from a home with a time capsule decor that included several lamps by the famous California company, Moss Manufacturing. The combination of the acrylic or plexiglass base with the ceramic embellishment is definitely a calling card of Moss lamps. The panther ceramic is in a menacing crouch and the addition of green rhinestone eyes and a chain tether really puts an emphasis on the high drama. The white acrylic platform is the perfect perch for this guy providing a graphic color scheme for everything from an Art Deco to a Mid Century decor. Standard size socket with operational switch and wiring.

Good vintage condition with darkened patina to the metal hardware and the panther's chain tether. The wiring, socket and plug appear to be original. Everything works and appears to be in good condition though you might want to consider replacing the original plug. The original shade no longer exists. Please note: the panther bolts to the base and for safety in shipping, it will be removed for packing and therefore will require reassembly.

The lamp with harp and finial measures a total of 26" wide x 26" tall x 6" deep. The lamp without harp measures 18" to the top of the socket and 6" from the base to the top of the panther. See less
