its poetry and the energy it releases are born from the dialogue between the natural wear of minerals and the human – or rather feminine – imprint that shapes it. Sculpture, a universe often dominated by men, competes here in finesse and intelligence under the expert hands of maria chiara re.

maria chiara re's creations are distinguished by a striking naturalistic treatment, meticulously reproducing the natural erosion of marble as well as the characteristic patterns of carrara quarries.

born in milan on april 8, 1998, maria joined the liceo artistico l. Fontana in arese, where she obtained a diploma in figurative art in 2017. She then continued her studies at the academy of fine arts in carrara, obtaining a level i academic diploma in 2021, with honors in sculpture.

during her residency in carrara, she perfected her mastery of marble and hard stone, developing a wide range of skills, ranging from 3d modeling to anthropological, cultural and psychosocial research. From 2019 to 2021, she joined the "ponte di ferro" workshop, a collective of artists in carrara, where she refined her approach and collaborated on various artistic projects.
