Offered for sale is a Mid-Century Modern figurative abstract pastel drawing by Walter Gutman, (American 1903-1986). The colorful drawing in pastels on paper depicts two women playing the guitar. The contrast between the pastels and the black background is graphic yet plays against the lyrical feel of the artist's techniques. The work is signed in the lower right corner. The work has been recently reframed in a silver-gilt molded frame with a black mat and non-glare plexiglass added. The work was acquired from the estate of the actor Walter Klavun.
