A truly rare piece of Val St Lambert (Belgian Crystal ~ Since 1826), this is a very large paperweight and weighs about 3 pounds! The original and well-worn velvet-textured box kept this gift from uncle André to aunt Vivenne well-protected.

The paperweight is signed “Val St Lambert" and still has the original Val Saint Lambert sticker. It is not only very attractive and in immaculate condition, but it is an icon among paperweights. Original Box Included -- As seen in the photos, the box performed its job well when the paperweight was not on display.

"Aimé Gabriel d’Artigues who owned the Vonêche glassworks bought the Baccarat glassworks in Vosges. Two of his employees from Vonêche, the chemist François Kemlin and the engineer Auguste Lelièvre, left and created their own glassworks in the Abbey of Val Saint-Lambert in 1826."
