It is in a beautiful, very … more This is an original mid century modern oil painting titled “Portrait of Mrs. T”. It is in a beautiful, very high-end, gilt-washed carved frame from the early to mid 20th century. The painting is signed and titled in Japanese characters on the reverse on the stretcher and canvas. It was purchased in Wilmington, Vermont from an antiques dealer who purchased it directly from the estate of the portrait’s subject, Mrs. Dorothy Turner. Sight measures 20 1/2” x 17 1/4”, frame is 27 1/2” x 24 1/2”. Frame shows some light signs of age (very few small areas where the finish has scraped off). The painting surface could benefit from a light cleaning, but is in excellent condition with no damage. less
