Roof tiles in this form are very popular all over China for its symbolism as a guardian figure. In this later version, the fearsome dragon head gave way to a rather whimsical open mouth crocodile, and the green glaze in light and dark streaks endears the viewer to its charms. No doubt it will add to the ambiance of a room.

The base of the roof tile is like a half open cylinder and does not stand well. It is presented here solidly mounted on a wood base. See less
