Known … Read more Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional Queen-sized Mahogany four-post tester bed by Henkel Harris. Known for their exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail, Henkel Harris produces some of the finest home furnishings, inspired by timeless antique designs. The company was founded in the 1940s through a partnership between the Henkel family and John Harris. Despite their initial lack of experience in cabinet making, they devoted themselves to studying antiques and focused on recreating the craftsmanship and finish of America’s golden age of cabinetry. This pencil post bed is one of Henkel Harris' most sought-after designs, complete with its original tester frame and finials. Unlike more heavily carved plantation beds, which can be overpowering in certain rooms, this bed features more delicate proportions and graceful posts, making it an ideal choice for a variety of spaces. The bed is branded with the Henkel Harris logo and retains its original paper label showing it’s in the number 29 finish and was made in 1987. The bed is in excellent condition with our only condition notes being minor surface wear. It can be fully disassembled into individual components for easier shipping & transport. There are only two horizontal tester components installed in our photos because I photographed this alone, and the middle one is a bit difficult to install without an extra set of hands. We do have the center component, and it can be seen leaning against the headboard in our last image. This is a Queen size bed and the interior measures 61" wide by 82" long. Overall, the bed measures 65 3/4" wide by 88 1/2" long and 86 1/2" tall. See less
