Antique painted chest, in fir wood. The entire surface is decorated with ramages and pendants. These decorations are obtained with a technique similar to that of graffiti: the darker surface color is removed, revealing the original color of the underlying wood, which is lighter, thus obtaining the outlines of the desired decoration.
On the front, inside two petrol blue squares, the same neoclassical decorations with garlands, bows and pendants are reproduced, this time in polychrome.
Inside, there is still the small flap compartment, useful for supporting the lid once opened and for holding small objects.
