This iconic radio phonograph and record player was designed by achille and pier giacomo castiglioni in 1965. Fully original, in amazing condition and fully functional, incredibly rare in the white wood version which has a charming ivory-toned patina. This iconic object has a smart voltage regulator on the back which allows it to work worldwide and easily switch between 120v, 160v and 220v. Born as a stereophonic device, which became an icon of pop design in the 1960s. Examples of this radiophonograph are exhibited at the triennale di milano, at the moma in new york and for a period also at the victoria & albert museum in london. The machine and the dual 1214 record player have been serviced, tested and everything is in working order. The pair of speakers, which can be place above or hooked on the side of the stereo are the original irel speakers and in great condition. On the top there is the dual turntable with its original smoked plastic cover which has no cracks or chips. On the front there is the radio phonograph. The base is made of metal and black enameled metal in the shape of a t, with 4 black wheels as feet. An icon of mid-century italian design and a must have for all the vintage design enthusiast. This high end radio phonograph is the perfect addition for a mid-century modern living room or studio. A must have for all vintage design enthusiasts. Dimension (cm): with speakers on the sides 122x37x74h with speakers placed above the top 62x37x92h this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
