This lovely vintage Dutch Colonial style lounge chair was made of teak on the island of Java in the mid-20th century. The teak planks are magnificently assembled to create an elegant wavy seat, which contrasts beautifully with the straight lines of the base and the arms. The top rail is adorned with a nicely scalloped shape. The chair, which has been refinished, is covered with a warm colored varnish which enhances its Dutch colonial pedigree. With its curvy silhouette and warm finish, this stylish Javanese Dutch teak lounge chair circa 1940 would be a graceful addition to any home or garden, especially on a patio for a comfortable rest. less
