The rare combination of primitive slab seat and stick legs with 'important' panel back, sets this armchair apart from the crowd. The 'sheppard's crook' arm terminals are pronounced and the revealed tenon joints are characterised with rare retaining chocks. The stick legs in ash are still remarkably long and suggest a very well kept life. Solid sycamore seat, panel back in elm and poplar and arm rests in walnut, a true vernacular beauty! See less
