In addition to it's original use as a vanity seat, this would be a great bench to place in the foyer or in front of a piano. I have enjoyed sitting on it while practicing the guitar as well- it has a wonderfully solid feel, and the half-cylinder edges give a subtle feeling of grounding. The two cross-members pieces not only keep the piece from flexing side-to-side, but are great for placing your feet which puts one in a perfect pose for meditation.
