Circa Mid 19th Century. The First - Early American Pianos Ever Made were Rectangular in Shape. They are referred to today as Square Pianos. They were first produced in the Early 1800s and continued into the Latter Victorian Period. The Lyre is the Bracket that the Foot Peddles are attached to. It is Heavy Cast with Bold - High Relief Features that include Dolphins and Flowers. This piece could be well displayed as hung on a wall or even possibly used in a Garden Setting. Note! that a strong Wire Hanger has been Attached on the back to for wall mounting purposes.
It has that Wonderful Natural Patina that can only occur with many years of exposure.
It Measures 17 3/4 inches Tall x 9 1/4 inches Long x 2 1/4 inches Wide.
