Place this interesting ceramic and bronze vase on a shelf or entry commode; crafted in France, circa 1980, the Classic vase shaped as cornucopia standing on a rectangular base features a bronze handle at the bottom. The colorful vase is hand painted floral decorations in the blue and white palette in the style of delft. The vase is in excellent condition with a rich patinated bronze finish and soft blue and white colors.
In classical antiquity, the cornucopia (from Latin cornu copiae) or Horn of plenty was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large Horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers or nuts.
