After studying sculpture at the National School of Fine Arts in Bourges, Michèle Raymond produced ceramics and sandstone sculptures, mainly around the human body. His statuettes dressed in loose, colorful clothing and erected on a base were quickly noticed in salons and galleries. At the same time, she practices drawing and modeling nudes where she plays with anatomy. She distorts and amplifies the volumes thus freed from the figuration in order to create a sculpture of shadow and light. Its stoneware is fired in wood at 1300 degrees.
