Burdick attended the Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Students League of New York, studying with Reginald Marsh, Edwin Dickinson and Will Barnett. He exhibited in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Smithsonian, the Society of American Artist and the Provincetown Art Association.
