For collectors or folks furnishing a residence in the Spanish Colonial style this is truly a rare find. These chests were for mainly for the brides of the upper class used by the bride to be to store her precious items for use at the time of her marriage. The hand painted front shows the initials of its original bride. The original lock has lost its key through the years but is in good condition. These are rare and not found in this size and condition except in rare circumstances.
