In this instance I painted … Read more I enjoy painting swimmers and divers because of the emotions they exude: relaxed happiness, weightlessness. In this instance I painted the same diver from the front and then from the back. They pair very nicely but also stand alone well. I am inspired by the art deco style and her face and suit are examples of that era - for example the small lipsticked mouth. I kept the palette simple to make the painting contemporary. See less
