Beautiful … Read more Late 20th Century, 1970's, one owner concrete St. Anthony statue. Aquiline, almost Middle Ages in style (which we love). Beautiful patina, some mold, in certain areas. There is a maker's stamp on the back, but it is weathered and unreadable. Purchased by Clover's Cottage at an estate sale of a friend and neighbor. It had been part of the backyard design since the 1970's.

He wears his traditional Cowl with hood, showing his adoption of poverty and life as a priest.
In one hand he holds a bird, perhaps a Dove, of course, his symbol of his love and protection of animals. The other hand holds a Cross.

There is a slight hairline crack across the back of his neck, but the structure of the statute is solid and if you are looking for this unusual style or his presence in your garden or life this would be a great addition to your backyard or patio.

Although a saint he is heavy, weighing almost 50lbs.
