BEST OF THE BEST!!! This is a fantastic Original Oil on canvas by listed California Modernist artist Sammy Pasto (1921-2013). Pasto was a contemporary of Pablo Picasso and much of his work was influenced by that style of painting. His early works rival some of the very best cubist artists of the time. His modern works show sharper lines and are more representational than his earlier works, and they are wonderful in their movement.
This large, show-stopping work is absolutely one of the best I have ever seen from Pasto. The color is fantastic and the subject matter entrancing. Just fabulous. Signed in the lower right as shown. Titled and dated on the back. Unframed.
Provenance: Sammy Pasto lived and worked in San Diego where our gallery has been for over 15 years. We have a very good relationship with his son and work with him on the proper handling and sale of Pasto's works. Many of the works we sell are pieces that have ONLY been in the private collection of Sammy Pasto or his immediate family.
Certification: Gallery Certificate of Authenticity included.
Condition: Very good condition. Only minor signs of age/handling. One are of professional repair. Unframed. Custom framing available
Measurements: Painting is 48"x48"
