A rare antique original period print after watercolor portrait of Charles Spencer-Churchill (9th Duke of Marlborough, a soldier and politician, first cousin of Winston Churchill), by Mortimer Menpes. Comes from a rare antique book by Mortimer Menpes, published in London, England, in 1901. Signed in the print. Gold leaf top edge, original title page. Excellent condition - minor age wear on the border, never framed.
Mortimer Luddington Menpes was an Australian-born artist, author, printmaker and illustrator.
This original period antique print, like all other prints after paintings of Mortimer Menpes created by Menpes himself.
