It comes with 164 Bakelite pieces and 1 bakelite rack placed in a most delightful faux-alligator old case with leather handle.

First played by the elite Chinese noblemen in the mid 1800s, Mahjong came to America at the beginning of the 20th century and has been a staple game for hobbyists ever since. Let's play!

CONDITION. PLEASE READ: This set shows signs of age and wear which I think just adds wonderfully to its aesthetic. Whilst immediately playable, I believe this set may be "incomplete". It has 164 pieces. 144 or 166 is standard. It also only has 1 rack - though it should be noted a lot of people play this game without racks. The faux- alligator case is showing its age - it is marked in places with various dings and nicks and it could do with a clean. The brass "locks" work fine, but they have no key. The actual Bakelite pieces are in great condition. This set has no dice. Examine all the pictures closely. Zoom in & out to get a good sense of its exact condition: a picture tells a thousand words. You will receive the exact set pictured here.

The closed case measures 19 3/4" width x 3 1/8" thickness x 8 7/8".
Each piece measures 1 1/2" x 3/4" x 1/2".
The set and pieces weighs 7lb 14oz.
