Campaign secretary chest hand-made in England in the early 1800s using mahogany. This is a beautifully-made chest that serves the function of both a dresser and a writing table. The central drawer on the top flips open and contains three drawers on the inside, as well as a beautiful leather inset decorated with gold leaf. Overall the chest has three large drawers below the writing nook, and four smaller drawers on each side of the writing nook. Each drawer is inset and shows hand-made dovetail joints. The handles are inset.
This campaign chest is very well made and large. Its color is warm and it will be a perfect piece for a large bedroom or living room.
