This piece is in great condition for its age, no dents or damage, just the usual small bumps and signs of use you would expect from old hotel silver that was used daily. it has polished up beautifully! Marked on the base as made by Gorham for the Savoy Plaza in the year 1927.

This 40 ounce serving bowl measures approximately 10.75 inches long across the handles by 2.5 inches deep. Though it was meant as a serving bowl, it’s in the style of some of the ice and champagne buckets from the Savoy Plaza, due to the shallow depth it could be filled with ice and used for smaller beverages like cans, smaller glass bottles of tonic, or little splits of wine/champagne. less
