The … Read more Dutch silver tea service, 1899-1909 a dutch silver tea service with dutch landscapes with floral, leaves with flower motif. The set consists of a teapot, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. The teapot on a silver brazier with silver burner. The teapot with sugar bowl and milk jug were made in 1909 (year letter z), by gerardus schoorl. These three have the hall mark "lion 2" for 835/000 purity of silver. The brazier with silver plate is the brazier dated 1902 (year letter s) and the dutch hall mark "lion 2" (835/000). The chafing dish raised on four legs with crossed connection has the same pattern. Faces at the top of the legs. The plate is dated with year letter p for 1899 and the silversmith is gebr. Reitsma, sneek (hall mark used between 1892-1948). The burner with wick is dutch hallmarked with lion 2 (835/000 purity of silver) and the mastersign is faded. The lid of the burnerr has the silver hall mark "sword" (possibly added later). The spoon is dutch hall marked with the "sword" used between 1814-1906. The teapot measures (handle height) 12 cm and 13 cm diagonal (body) shows some age wear (dent in the tea pot) See less
