About The Poster: From La Plante et ses applications ornementales. (Plants and Their Application to Ornament). Directed by Mr Eugène Grasset, this book was illustrated by nine artists and was produced "to show pratical example for the industry and a path to follow". It can be seen as an Art Nouveau manifesto, with Grasset introducing this book as a "merciless war against the imitation from the past".
