A stunning 1980s reproduction of Tōshūsai Sharaku woodblock print depicting Kabuki Actor Morita Kanya VIII as Uguisu No Jirosaku. One of the original woodblocks by the great Japanese artist is located at Tokyo National Museum. Published in Japan in 1980s. Heavy paper, copy in Japanese and English on the back. Excellent condition, never framed, like new, but feels almost like original woodblock print . Superb quality. Very detailed. Comes from 50 year old collection of Asian Art in Japan. Japan, 1980s.
Colors are gorgeous and soft. There is no silver, but different shades of gray and creamy white create silver effect.
