These Andirons were expertly crafted, simply by holding them, you can tell they're very well made. Each are made of copper which displays an uncleaned patina finish - They show their age nicely. The Pair stands sturdy and is accompanied by a iron log leg back. You'll find many interior designers using Andirons outside of a fireplace for decoration purposes, although the log leg backs are meant to be used inside of a fireplace to rest the logs upon - This leads to a cleaner burn. As you could tell, they have very well been used in its previous estate. The iron back shows surface rust, although they're completely solid. The twisted motif body of each Andiron adds a unique look. The top of each displays an Imperial shaded topper, often found in other Federal style pieces alike.
