The thick blank is overlaid with amethyst crystal and cut to clear with a rare skating motif. Clearly designed with a winter motif, the entire perimeter is decorated in deep cameo relief of skaters and a horse drawn sled with another sled being pushed. The detail is dramatic and the even the clear cameo portion is cut with a swirling ice motif.
The vibrant contrast of amethyst and clear glass both on the base and rim makes a striking statement of Art Glass at it's finest! less
