This silver plated planter sits on a stone … more A rare and wonderful example of Aesthetic Movement decoration at it's finest. This silver plated planter sits on a stone or marble base, atop four round silver feet. It is decorated on all four sides with masterful engraving using all the motifs associated with the style including cranes, bamboo, palm leaves, bulrushes, cattails and beautiful palmetto borders. The workmanship is excellent and it still retains the original zinc liner, making it both practical and decorative. It is not signed or marked but I attribute the country of origin to either the US or England. less
