Looking out across the water, Theodore Jeremenko's rendering of a quaint New England town features a community church surrounded by a village of Colonial New England houses. Peppered with trees, the community includes a multitude of homes built in the early New England style with red-brick chimneys, twelve-paned and transom windows, and high gabled rooves with cornice moldings. Presumably a depiction of Concord, Massachusetts looking out over Walden Pond toward the village, this image calls to mind Thoreau's book "Walden Pond".
