This genuine wooden household shrine showcases a beautifully weathered appearance, having developed a rich, warm patina over the years.

This wooden altar features two doors, behind which small stone deity statues were traditionally displayed.

The **kamidana** (神棚, literally ‘god/spirit shelf’) is a traditional miniature household altar designed to honor a Shinto kami (deity or spirit).

This kamidana remains in its original, unrestored condition and has been carefully cleaned and treated with respect for its historical integrity. Over time, some parts may have become loose or are missing (see photos), which only enhances the charm and authenticity of this remarkable piece. See less
