Charles Dudouyt style turned oak pedestal from France, c.1930-40
Really good sized, well proportioned pedestal on a very chunky turned oak pillar.
The oak is a pleasing tone, with nice depth of colour, perfectly aged.
In original condition, extremely solid and heavy. Age related gaps and slight bowing to the top are all naturally occurring due to shrinking of the wood over time. No worm holes.
Cleaned, ready for use. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
