Doors slide back into themselves. Plaque inside drawer says Bexley Heath by John Widdicomb. Been in out family since purchase. In 1858, George Widdicomb, father to John Widdicomb, came from Devonshire, England to Grand Rapids, Michigan. He set up a small cabinet shop with 12 craftsmen. Today the company occupies two city blocks in Grand Rapids. John Widdicomb and its division, Bexley Heath, design and manufacture handcrafted interpretations and adaptions of period furniture. These interpretations are crafted in limited quantities. This piece is very rare. Great accent piece for any room. Always been in my very clean home since purchase
