Crafted from brass, steel, and elm, it features a disc-shaped shade that can be adjusted in multiple directions. The lamp has an integrated light switch on the base and a gooseneck tube on top of the elm pillar, allowing for flexible positioning of the shade. Marked with the nk logotype and model number on the underside of the base. This model is featured in the 1952 nk lighting catalog. The renowned swedish department store nordiska kompaniet, nk, opened in stockholm in 1902. It played a significant role in introducing modern and innovative retail practices to sweden, bringing the concept of a department store to the city and offering a wide range of goods under one roof. The company had their workshops in nyköping, which were known for their exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to quality.
