Danish Art Deco decorative pitcher/jug model no. 4264 from the ceramic workshop Michael Andersen & Søn (MA&S). Designed and made ca. 1930s to 1950s.
The body of the pitcher has pumpkin shape, and is decorated with vertical ribbing very typical for this period, as also seen in the work of Danish ceramist Arne Bang. The conic neck is almost smooth with a slight vertical fluting. The satin glaze is medium brown turning into reddish brown towards the handle and the spout.
The bowl is marked on bottom with the Michael Andersen & Søn back stamp + a Michael Andersen paper sticker with the model no. 4264
