We cannot decide for certain what the artist's name is but it looks like "Arin Tran". What we do know without a doubt is that this is a unique and well considered piece of art that It appears to be formed from some kind of dark purple subtly translucent slag glass. The texture is rough and sand-like on most of the surface area. The overall form evokes some kind of oceanic colony like a coral or sea anemone. Elegant and brooding it sits on its own flattened base. Our photos were taken in pure daylight, except for the last image (with two photos) which was taken using a mix of studio lighting so that you can see how light plays off of (and through) this unusual sculpture material. It weights just over 15lbs. Upon purchase it will be packaged with extreme care to keep it safe during shipping. less
