As shown in the pictures part of the right leg in the back has come off but we have all pieces available for repair. I also noticed a few nicks and cracks here and there and looks like it may have been repaired in the middle of the mantle at one time but nothing major, I do not believe that would jeopardize the integrity of the piece in anyway less

- This is an amazing black marble entryway shelf. At first thought I had considered that it may have been a … more This is an amazing black marble entryway shelf. At first thought I had considered that it may have been a fireplace surround but after checking the length I do not believe that it would be high enough to be a fireplace. The quality of this marble is absolutely amazing, I believe that the white marble could possibly be Carrera. The detail of the carvings are very pretty and the Carrera leaves ready give it an elegant flare. There is also a Carrera trim on the outside edges of the mantel. This piece was removed from a historic 1920’s pacific palisades mansion overlooking the ocean, however, this piece is much older we believe it is from the 1800’s after inspecting its features. The fireplace measures in total at 61” x 31 1/2 tall 18 inches from the wall and the firebox is 42 1/2” wide by 29” tall. less
