There is nothing like this event in all seasons. This painting was inspired by walks in Bowdon, Cheshire, England in late spring. I have done a few of on this subject - Three to be precise. I don't generally do small canvases. This painting is on canvas board. It was the different shades of pink and red flowers that I wanted to capture. It looks like I will have to do a bigger piece to be able to explore the detail of the light on flowers and the leaves flooded with light.
