Signed along bottom with his Navajo name. Gorman was one of the original Navajo code talkers recruited by the US Marine Corp during WWII and served in the Pacific. A visual artist, painter, illustrator, and professor he was on the faculty at the University of California, Davis, from 1950 until 1973.
