- Pair of solid oak antique chairs. Recently painted and highly distressed. The base dark wood comes through the off white … more Pair of solid oak antique chairs. Recently painted and highly distressed. The base dark wood comes through the off white layer which then comes through the final layer of medium French Blue. The finish has a protective wax finish as the finishing touch. The chairs have be upholstered with a new seat filled with a 3" thick foam. The box style cushion has a double welt and a beautiful Italian cotton fabric. The fabric shows sea fans, coral, barnacles and clams in shades of blue and brown on an off white background. The inside backs of the chairs have been decoupaged with an assortment of barnacles from the fabric. less
