Antique French Sofa Table Writing Desk Barley Twist Carved Oak Renaissance.
Direct from France, a lovely antique French writing desk or sofa table in a very versatile size with beautiful features!!
Large, lovely barley twist legs as well as a long barley twist cross stretcher and side stretchers. Heavy carved block joints (carved on all sides) and a center surmounted finial.
The desk also features a hidden full length drawer having a carved front and the beautiful table top with a wide carved beveled edge top.
Finished on all sides, perfect to ‘float’ in the center of a room or use between chairs. Quality throughout with dovetailed drawer; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
Measurements: 29” ht. x 39” x 25.5”. Leg Clearance, 24.25”.
