A magnificent pair of early 19th century European Baroque (likely Italian) hand carved and painted wooden architectural salvaged exterior building elements, now repurposed and fashioned for use as one-of-a-kind pedestal tables.
Intricately detailed, whimsical sulptural design, executed in classical corinthian column capital form, having spiral scroll volutes, acanthus leaf carvings, figural ancient mask (face) on two sides, floral accents, square shaped faux limestone wood slab platform top, all rising on a molded stepped base. Finished on all four sides, featuring original elegant polychrome decoration with beautiful distressed chippy paint patina.
Versatile. Can be used indoors or outdoors, having the ideal size and proportions for use as end tables, chair side tables, statue - sculpture - plant stand, bedside nightstand, planter, placed flanking the front door for a stunning and unique entry statement piece, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination!
